StarGain respects your privacy and ensures that all personal information you provide to StarGain is always treated confidentially and carefully.

Comments
When visitors leave comments on the StarGain website, StarGain collects the data shown in the comment form and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to prevent spam detection.
A string, created from your email address (this is also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service if you use that service. You can view the Gravatar privacy policy here. After your comment is approved by StarGain, your Gravatar profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you are a registered user of the StarGain website and upload images to the StarGain website, you should avoid uploading images with EXIF GPS location data. Visitors to the StarGain website can download and extract any location data from images from them.
Contact forms
Cookies
When you leave a comment on the StarGain website, your name and email address are stored in a cookie. StarGain does this for your own convenience so that this information does not have to be filled in again when placing a next comment. These cookies remain valid for 365 days.
If you have a StarGain account and log in via the StarGain website, StarGain stores a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts the correct cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is automatically deleted when you close the browser.
As soon as you log in, StarGain will store several cookies in connection with your login information and screen display options. Login cookies remain valid for 2 days. After that, they are automatically deleted. Cookies for screen display options are automatically deleted after 1 year. If you check the option ‘Remember password’, your login cookies will be stored for 2 weeks after which they are automatically deleted. Once you log out of your StarGain account, login cookies are deleted immediately.
When you edit or publish a post, an additional cookie is stored by your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data and only contains the ‘post ID’ of the article you edited. This cookie is automatically deleted after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Content on the StarGain website may contain embedded content. Think of videos, images or text messages. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These external websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that external website.
Analytics
The StarGain website is linked to a Google Analytics account. Within this Google Analytics account, anonymized data is collected regarding pages visited, length of stay, entry and exit.
Provision of data to third parties
Your data will only be used by StarGain itself. Under no circumstances will StarGain provide your data to third parties without your explicit consent. Should an external company acquire StarGain, your data will be transferred to the new StarGain owner.
How long does StarGain retain your data
When you leave a comment on the StarGain website, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so StarGain can automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users registered on the StarGain website (if any), personal information is stored in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. A username cannot be changed. StarGain website administrators can also view and edit this information.

If you have an account on the StarGain website or have posted comments, you can request StarGain to transfer an export file of your personal data. This file contains all the data that StarGain has collected from you. You can also request StarGain to delete your personal data. This does not include data that StarGain is required to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
How StarGain protects your data
The StarGain website runs on a secure server in the Netherlands and is hosted by a certified Dutch hosting company.
Personal data by telephone
Telephone conversations with StarGain may be recorded to prevent possible misunderstandings surrounding a possible purchasing process. These recordings may also be used for quality and training purposes. Conversations are kept for a maximum of 12 months. If a dispute arises between StarGain and its customer, it may be decided to extend this retention period.

StarGain reserves the right to change this privacy statement at any time. We therefore recommend that you consult this page regularly so that you are always aware of the latest version.
